native of San Luis Obispo, Beverly knows the area well
and has extensive experience in the real estate
industry. Beverly runs Landmark Company as a
service business while using this expertise. She
enjoys working with buyers and sellers, and considers it
a privilege to help them achieve their personal
goals. She likes working with clients, as
well as for them, to achieve those goals.
Beverly
is president and CEO for Landmark Company and has been
involved in the real estate industry since the late
1970's. Initially, she worked with a prominent San
Luis Obispo development firm that moved from commercial
remodels and management to extensive residential
development projects in San Luis Obispo and throughout
the county. Beverly was involved in all aspects of
residential development, as well as managing the
marketing and sales. For the past decade, she has
concentrated on re-sales, primarily in the residential
market.
Her
years of activity in the community and in real estate
have served to enhance and expand Beverly's knowledge
and keep her in the forefront of today's real estate
industry.

Shari's career started in the stock brokerage
industry, and 17 years later she decided to change
to real estate. She got her sales license in 1987,
and went to work in her family's vacation rental and
sales business in La Quinta, California. She worked
extensively with homeowners and vacationers from
around the world, and honed her skills as a property
manager and as a saleswoman.
Shari and her son moved to the Central Coast in 1997
to become a family with her new husband, Tim, and
his three children. The children are all grown and
gone, and Shari and Tim still live in Santa
Margarita.
Shari has continued her career and education with
experience in residential sales and, as well,
managing rental properties and Homeowners
Associations. While Landmark Company does not
manage HOAs, Shari continues to manage some
properties for clients, as well as pursue her sales
career.

Melissa Maino is a fourth generation San Luis Obispo
native. Her great-grandfather established Maino
Construction Company in 1891...the company is still
going strong in the capable hands of her nephew.
Melissa first became a licensed real estate agent in
1977; however, a 10 year stint in Africa and the
decision to become a paralegal on her return, took her
in a different direction. She came back to real estate
in 2005 when life-long family friend, also a San Luis
Obispo local, Beverly James, asked Melissa to assist in
her independent brokerage, Landmark Company. Beverly has
been in the real estate business in San Luis Obispo
since the early 80's and Melissa was grateful to have
her as a mentor. After 18 months as Beverly's assistant,
Melissa stepped out as an independent agent with
Landmark Company.
As
a member of the San Luis Obispo Association of REALTORS®
Housing Affordability Committee (HAC) Melissa is
concerned that San Luis Obispo maintain its middle
class, keep the doors open for young families and
generate an atmosphere that invites diversity to our
city.
Melissa has extensive computer experience, is
technically skilled and keeps up with the ever-changing
cyber real estate world. She believes that, instead of
being "us against them," the consumer can greatly
benefit if we all work together with the many
consumer-oriented, mega marketing sites appearing daily
on the web.
